Coolangatta Police Station's future unknown as Gold Coast Light Rail route pushes south

A Queensland MP is calling for clarity about where a new police station will be built in Coolangatta if the building and nearby courthouse are demolished as part of the Gold Coast Light Rail expansion.

Following the revelation that Police Minister Mark Ryan was unaware of potential routes that could lead to buildings being destroyed, Member for Currumbin Laura Gerber said community needed assurance that police and courts would remain in the suburb.
